Habits |
Habits are your automatic pilots. They control part of your behavior without your thinking about it. Things which become habits were once conscious acts. But by doing them over and over, you allow brain, nerves, and muscles to team up. They do things without any control on your part. What if you had to concentrate on everything you do in a day? Most of you would be worn out early in the morning. You would have to figure out how to get out of bed, put on your clothes, walk to the breakfast table and use a fork in eating. Consider the many things you do in a day which require no conscious thought. You will soon see how important habits are in your life. You know that all habits aren’t good.
There is also bad habit and you need to break it. An important part of personality development is an analysis of habits. Find out which ones are good and which are; concentrate on breaking the bad ones by intelligent control. It isn’t easy. But remember, intelligence can master any habit if you really want it to. To break a habit, you do the reveres. Yu must regain conscious control of the activity and avoid doing it.
